Bundle Up! Clean Up!

Bundle up! We are partnering with One Block, a nonprofit that is dedicated to keeping the Upper West Side clean. This volunteer opportunity connects to the Jewish value of bal tashhit (Hebrew: בל תשחית) which teaches us not to destroy or to waste. We can get involved by helping to protect the environment. 

A representative from One Block will meet us in front of BJ at the 89th Street entrance with trash bags, One Block T-shirts, and will share a designated area in the neighborhood for us to go to. All ages are welcome, including extended family. You can spend as little or as much time on the task as you would like. If the weather forecast is rain, we will reschedule the event and you will be notified by email. We plan to repeat this volunteer opportunity in the spring as well.
