Yuval Lion is the producer of Awakening, a documentary film about Israel’s inspiring pro-democracy protest movement and the resurgence of its liberal-democratic camp in a time of political turmoil and this devastating war. Libby Lenkinski, NIF VP for Public Engagement, and Yuval will discuss the background of the protests, the initial successes and current struggles of the movement, and where it might all be heading. The project is still in production, with an expected completion date of summer 2025. The audience will be shown a teaser trailer and exclusive clips from the film.
