Voices from Inside: A Conversation with Iisha Stevens-Hamilton

Join us for an open meeting of the BJ/SPSA Racial Justice Task Force with special guest, Iisha Stevens-Hamilton, as she discusses and reads from her book, Unwritten: Stories from Behind and Beyond the Bars, a collection of poems and essays by incarcerated people and their loved ones. Stevens-Hamilton is also a member of the Alliance of Families for Justice (AFJ), an organization with which the BJ/SPSA Task Force has been working with for a number of years now, especially since COVID-19 dramatically affected the lives of those incarcerated and their loved ones. This gathering will provide an opportunity to hear from Iisha about her book and the experiences recorded in it, and to learn about the broader work of AFJ.
