Jeffrey Ohrenstein, Chairman of Memorial Scroll Trust, will explain how BJ’s historic Torah, older than the United States, was one of 1564 scrolls rescued from the Holocaust. The Memorial Scrolls Trust is a London-based non-profit that oversees the legacy of 1,564 Czech Torah scrolls that survived the Shoah. After a miraculous story of survival, these scrolls arrived in London and have been distributed on permanent loan to communities in 30 countries worldwide. This event will include a Q&A and an opportunity to view the scroll up close.
