Responding to the Earthquake in Turkey and Syria

לְ֭מַעַן אַחַ֣י וְרֵעָ֑י אֲדַבְּרָה־נָּ֖א שָׁל֣וֹם בָּֽךְ׃

For the sake of my kin and friends, I pray for well-being.

(Psalm 122:8)

We join the world in mourning the devastating loss of life in Turkey and in Syria and for those injured in the large-magnitude earthquakes in the region.

We pray for those affected, many who have likely lost everything—loved ones, their homes and belongings—and many of whom were already refugees. We’re grateful to see an already tremendous response by governments to help in the rescue effort and pray this does not turn into a humanitarian crisis.

If you wish to offer support, consider donating to the International Rescue Committee or the JDC ,who are already supporting those in need. We will continue to update this should other opportunities arise to help those affected by this disaster.
