Biography

Margaret Piraino (she/her) is the Community Engagement Program Coordinator at BJ. Born and raised in a multi-faith family in Brooklyn, Margaret cultivates a vibrant Jewish life that explores the intersection of queerness and Judaism. Prior to joining BJ, Margaret was a Pre-K teacher in an immersive Hebrew/English dual-language classroom, where she developed her knowledge of special education and inclusivity. Currently, Margaret facilitates joyful and accessible Jewish experiences with BJ’s Aviv 20s and 30s group as well as LGBTQIA+ programming. When she’s not shaping the future of Millennial Judaism, Margaret can be found making niche Spotify playlists and learning new embroidery stitches.
