Alex Margolies

Biography

Alex and his family have been BJ members since 2006, and he has served as a member of BJ’s Finance Committee since 2020. Alex is a Managing Director in the Capital Formation Group at Fortress Investment Group LLC, a leading global alternative asset manager, with more than 25 years of capital markets and investment-related experience. At Fortress, he is focused on capital raising and investor relations for investors in the Firm’s Credit and Real Estate business. Prior to joining Fortress, Alex worked at Morgan Stanley in the Institutional Securities Division and at the law firm of Katten, Muchin & Zavis. He has a B.A. in Philosophy and Economics as well as J.D./M.B.A. degrees from Columbia University. He and his wife, Julie, live on the Upper West Side a few blocks from BJ, where they have raised their three children, Leo, Truman, and Imogen.
