This November, the right to control our own lives, bodies, and healthcare decisions are on the ballot in New York. In the face of attacks on these freedoms, Prop 1—a constitutional amendment that will appear on the ballot in New York—aims to codify reproductive rights and prevent discrimination by the government on the basis of gender, age, ethnicity, pregnancy status, disability status, or whether someone is LGBTQ+.

Following Shabbat Morning services, join us for a conversation about the importance of voting YES for Prop 1 and where the amendment fits in our broader fight to preserve our democracy. The event will feature Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal and Nancy Kaufman, former CEO of the National Council of Jewish Women, NYJA Board Chair, and BJ member, and will be moderated by Rabbi Felicia Sol.
