There’s No Place Like Home: Passover Craft Night
Join B’nai Jeshurun, The Grad Network: Powered by Columbia Barnard Hillel, and JCC 20s + 30s for a Passover craft night! While sharing and connecting over the themes of Passover, we’ll each create a decorative Birkat Ha’bayit (Blessing for the home). Come for a night of crafting, connecting and fun! Supply lists will be sent to you in your confirmation email. All attendees will receive a $15 gift card of their choice to offset the cost of supplies.
Birkat Ha’bayit is a Jewish prayer often inscribed on wall plaques or hamsas and featured at the entrance of some Jewish homes. There are various versions of the prayer. In the home, the Birkat Habayit is traditionally hung on the wall next to the front door or next to a window: it is meant to bring blessings and protect the home, variations from around the world are also seen as brilliant works of art and are often given as housewarming gifts.
