Shira Palmer Sherman Memorial Lecture with Dr. Naamit Kurshan Gerber
Join Dr. Naamit Kurshan Geber for an afternoon of learning, in memory of Shira Palmer Sherman.
There are two women named Devorah in tanakh: one was a famous prophet, the other a nursemaid almost lost to history. They seem to have little in common but their name. We will explore midrashim discussing these two individuals and what those midrashim teach about the role of women in Judaism.
