Reframing Homelessness: Safe Havens, Housing, and Serving our Neighbors
Join Breaking Ground for a presentation and panel discussion to learn more about our unsheltered, homeless neighbors, the Safe Haven shelter opening in our own backyard, and how this all connects to the larger issues of homelessness and housing in New York City.
Breaking Ground will present on the needs of those surviving on our streets, how we can best support our neighbors and community, and the services that will be offered at the newly opened West 83rd Street Safe Haven. The conversation will be facilitated by Rabbis Felicia Sol and Shuli Passow and there will be opportunities for questions.
This event is co-sponsored by B’nai Jeshurun, the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrews, the Joseph Stern Center for Social Responsibility at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, and Council Member Gale A. Brewer.
