Jew Too? Tales of the Mixed Multitude is a podcast created and produced by Rabbi Emily Cohen, Lab/Shul’s Rabbinic Resident, in partnership with BJ’s Jewish Home Project. Now in its second season, Jew Too highlights the stories, struggles, and visions of the many faces of our community; including Jews of color, queer Jews, and those of us with interfaith and hybrid identities.

Luis Burgos grew up between Alphabet City and the South Bronx. He moved to Los Angeles in 2013 before returning to NY in 2018. He attended Bard and Phillips Exeter. He works as a photo producer and, in his free time, works on his personal photography and poetry.
Beryl Torthe is a proud French/South African Jew by choice and a member of B’nai Jeshurun. She is currently completing her masters in Clinical Psychology at Columbia University and is preparing to move to the Bay Area for her doctoral studies at the Stanford-Palo Alto Consortium. Beryl enjoys taking long walks around the city with her goldendoodle, candid conversation, and having a gym membership but not using it enough (sorry mom).
Sian Gibby holds the position of Writer/Editor at the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute of Queens College, CUNY. She worked previously at Tablet and Slate magazines, and also at the Jewish Theological Seminary. She is the translator of a number of books, including Quinto Antonelli’s Intimate History of the Great War and Luigi Fontanella’s The God of New York. She davens with B’nai Jeshurun.
