That is the central question in our December book pick, Sarah Blau’s propulsive psychological thriller, The Others, named for the Torah’s designation for childless women. When one of the country’s preeminent feminist scholars is murdered, her former friend Sheila could be the next victim… or the primary suspect.
In January, we’ll be reading The Slaughterman’s Daughter by Yavniv Iczkovitz, which bills itself as “an epic historical novel where ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ meets Tarantino.” More to come on this hefty novel (432 pages) that you may want to dig into early!
