Introduction to Judaism Fall 2022 – Spring 2023
An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until May 30, 2023
Have you ever thought about exploring the basics of Judaism? Whether you’re looking to deepen your own understanding, are considering conversion, or are just curious, we invite you to join us for an accessible introduction to the core concepts, practices, and history of Judaism and the Jewish people. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary.
The in-person only class, taught by our Marshall T. Meyer Rabbinic Fellow Aaron Leven, will be held weekly on Tuesday evenings beginning October 25 and will run through the late spring. As a part of this course, we invite you to participate in weekly engaging discussion and in-person programming, and encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to connect to the larger BJ community.
Not local to the BJ community in New York? In January 2023, we will launch and additional cohort that will meet via Zoom, as an opportunity to learn with us from wherever you are.
Tuition
Individuals: $435 (BJ members)/$660 (non-members)
Couples: $650 (BJ members)/$980 (non-members)
Register by September 6 to receive $50 off your tuition!
Scholarships and payment plans are available. Please email cps@bj.org with any questions regarding registration for this course and the pathway to exploring Judaism.
