Intergenerational Calling Initiative

Calling all BJ teens! Please join us for a virtual informational/training session to all BJ teens who are interested in participating (or just interested in learning more) about the Intergenerational Calling Initiative. Our BJ social worker, Jane Blumenstein, will join us to provide guidance and tips, and answer any questions. 

Pairs are matched based on results from surveys that both the seniors and the teens will fill out. Before the first calls, we will have a zoom event for all the participants to meet each other, facilitated by BJ staff and Bikkur Holim volunteer chairs, Galit Bordereau and Les Nelson. The weekly calls can be on the phone or video chat. After the first four weeks, assessments will be made and matches may continue if both parties are interested. Calls will begin around Hanukkah.
