Join BJ and other faith-based groups around the city to support migrants during a day of education, service, and mobilization.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
12:30-1:30 PM Panel discussion on the current situation confronting asylum seekers in NYC
- Speakers: Ruth Messinger, Global Ambassador for American Jewish World Service, Congressman Dan Goldman, State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal, and Activist Power Malu
1:45-3:45 PM Volunteer Activities: Sort donated clothing, pack shelf-stable food, make bagged lunches, and engage in other direct service and advocacy activities
2:30 PM Introductory training to help migrants obtain work permits led by Ark Immigration Clinic, CBST
4:00-5:00 PM Interfaith Thanksgiving service
