We are thrilled to partner with the Hadar Institute once again for this year’s Rising Song Intensive.
Led by Deborah Sacks Mintz, with Joey Weisenberg, and a team of stellar faculty and musicians, this two-day program is designed for folks of all backgrounds to create a space for musical expression, learning, and community. This year’s program will have in-person and online components: first, the HRSI Virtual Beit Midrash in the morning, and what we’re calling the in-person HRSI Beit Shira at BJ in the afternoons. You are welcome to participate in either or both aspects of the program.
All in-person participants will be required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19, a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the program, and must agree to wear masks for the entirety of the intensive.
This year’s faculty lineup features a team of renowned educators and musicians helping to cultivate Jewish spiritual life through song, including Rabbi Roly Matalon, BJ Music Director Dan Nadel, Batya Levine, Yahala Lachmish, Micah Hendler, Rabbi Ariel Root Wolpe, and more. From songwriting to nigunim, breathwork to prayer, the schedule is jampacked so that we can cover it all! Take a look at the full list of faculty and view the session titles and descriptions.
Registration for the intensive will also include a complimentary ticket to Joey Weisenberg and the Hadar Ensemble’s live annual concert on December 23 at 7:30PM Eastern. This year, the concert will be performed in front of a live audience and can also be attended via Zoom.
The registration fee to participate in-person is on a sliding scale between $72 and $360, and between $18 and $180 to take part in virtual programming. Finances should not be an obstacle to participation—please reach out if you need financial aid.
