Empty Chair at the Seder—A Pre-Pesah Bereavement Group
The word seder means order and describes the 15 steps that we go through to reach the end of the Haggadah. However, following the loss of a loved one, the seder may feel like it has lost the sense of order that it once had, as one is reorganizing one’s life to accommodate the new normal.
As we anticipate the arrival of Pesah, a time steeped in tradition and togetherness, feelings of grief and loss may be heightened as the memories of years past resurface. Join members of our community in drawing support and comfort from one another and our shared tradition. Facilitated by BJ Social Worker, Jane Blumenstein, LCSW, this bereavement support group will meet virtually and is only open to current BJ members.
