Join families living in the nearby migrant and refugee shelter for a communal meal and gathering in the sukkah. A Latin-style buffet dinner cooked by BJ volunteers will be available and served by the BJ teens. BJ members of all ages are welcome—there will be fun activities for children! Please bring a dessert that can be shared.

We are collecting children’s (ages 0-13) fall and winter coats as well as strollers* to give to migrant families at this event. Donations can be brought to the BJ Community House at 270 West 89th Street during the following times:

  • Monday, September 19 – Thursday, September 21, from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM
  • Tuesday, September 26 – Thursday, September 28, from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM
  • Monday, October 2, from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

*Please make sure donations are in wearable condition, cleaned, and labeled.
