During the height of the pandemic, David Solomon and his partner Gratia Meyer sat in their Colorado home looking for Shabbat services on YouTube. They found BJ, and loved it so much that they joined as members in 2021. They’re two of 505 BJ members who live outside the greater New York City region.
Thanks to BJ’s multiaccess offerings, Gratia and David attend online lectures and meditation, and even participate in social justice work with BJ — all from Colorado. They also share BJ’s values and message with their local community.
During the High Holy Days, they took on the mitzvah of sharing the vegetables from their garden with food banks, and Gratia harvests pumpkins and bakes Sukkot Stuffed Pumpkin with friends, a recipe they’re sharing with our community! (See Gratia’s Stuffed Pumpkin recipe below.)
You can count on BJ and our newly expanded community for spiritual guidance, leadership, engagement, and support. It’s a place to come together, whether it be online or in-person, to navigate rebuilding our world and how we live our lives with our new realities.
Whether you’re near or far, there’s a home for you here. Join us.
